Ford: Driving Away From The Competition?

Ford is often recognized "America's Company." From the birth of Ford, all the way to its almost sudden collapse, it has been a storybook company. The new CEO, Alan Mullally, is a young innovative leader, exactly what Ford needs to regain their competitive advantage. Ford has a great opportunity to come out of the recession stronger and more financially sound than before. With the fall of GM, there is a very large void to be filled in market share. Ford currently is in the best position to fill that void. With the "cash for clunkers" program now underway, Ford has a chance to start showing why they are still around. With new models, new leadership, and a much larger market share, Ford is a must own stock. A potential market correction may be looming nearby, so a dip in the broad market would make for a unique buying opportunity.

  1. With the market's stellar performance last week and today's rally from 100 down to a minimal loss, is this a signal for a long position or are the hedge funds setting us for the short to kill? Do you have any short positions you are considering?
